On 20 October ITS Ukraine met with Igor Vladymyrskyi and Sergiy Shukayev at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, located on a huge campus on Peremohy Ave in Kyiv.
After a brief discussion about ITS Ukraine and possible areas of research and collaboration, Igor and Sergiy gave us a guided tour of the KPI museum which showcases the Universities proud history of innovation and scientific/engineering excellence ranging from electric welding to aeronautical engineering and space exploration. They even put me in a space-rocket that was orbiting the planet when I was born!
KPI do not have dedicated transport department, but have many highly skilled telecommunications specialists, a large campus for possible pilot projects and testing and from what we saw, a dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff and researchers.
We very much hope to work with them in the near future.
